About the PTO

A Parent Teacher Organization has been formed at LaSalle II Magnet School to help shape our kids and to support a great school.

The LaSalle II PTO serves the parents, teachers and administration of Pre-K, Special Education and Kindergarden through Sixth Grade students. The mission of the PTO is to promote communication between teachers, parents and community, and to encourage a positive, supportive atmosphere that will enhance students’ educational and extracurricular experiences.

The PTO will engage in social and academic activities, communication, and fundraising. Financial support will be provided to enhance the school and to establish student programs currently not covered by Chicago Public Schools. We will encourage parent, teacher and community involvement, greater volunteerism, and will cooperate with school administration to enhance educational opportunities.

As a new organization, we are still working hard to get up and running. Everyone is encouraged to participate. We currently meet in the school gym at 6:00 pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month during the school year.
